Nanotube Computing

Oral presentation of the research project of Sergey Pogodin, Nigel KH Slater and Vladimir Baulin, presented by Sergey Pogodin at the European Polymer Congress 2011 held in Granada (Spain). In focus of our research is a theoretical study of interaction between nanoparticles and cell membranes. To address this problem we are developing a mean-field computer simulation method, which we have applied in this case to study the interaction of carbon nanotubes, with homogeneous or patterned surface coating, and a phospholipid bilayer.
